Check My ID

I went to the Dean's Office to collect my Ordinatura card today!

I should have gotten it months ago, like when I newly started but since this card it totally good for nothing, I didn't thought it was necessary.

Hahahahaa unlike a Student Card that gives discounts to every possible fee there is, an Ordinatura card doesn't not share the same effect. It's like a working permit card, or something to flash around and proof that you are in the country for a purpose.

Russian emblem and it reads "Certificate"

Okay, okay.. IC photos are always criminal-looking LOL

The other side are the details
(Dean's Office contact number at the bottom)
Which means they can call to question its validity!

I don't want no problems at the Passport Control next week (Russian immigration officials can be bloody bitchy and they enjoy simply detaining foreigners for hours or make them board the next flight home, sad but true) that's why I quickly went to obtain one.

For the past 2 years, we've been having this problem leaving and coming into Russia because some stupid ass from India or was it Arab who forged a Malaysian passport, and his visa was issued under the name of our university. Something like that. I suppose the authorities is either still suspicious or vengeful (they let him through and got in trouble later) but we have to endure their shit in the end.

Once, at Sheremetyevo-2 Airport, I had to stand at the border for 45minutes and another time, I nearly missed my flight back to Malaysia because of an hour wait. They took my passport and visa AND boarding pass into the control room, I could see them nicely chit-chatting away.. walking about with their cigarettes (the authorities smoke wherever they like) and kept chit-chatting.. until they were syiok enough, I was allowed to pass.

I think it's some sick shit psychological gameplay.

They prolly wanted me to freak out and start shooting the Germans, Americans and a group of Italians who came to watch Swan Lake LOL

Anyways, just wish me luck that our journey will be smooth! :)

Ya, i've heard that Malaysians get into difficult situations with the authorities in the US just because we're from a Muslim country, and I suppose it happens to us in other "white" countries too.

I guess...no matter how "bad" Malaysia is, there's no place like home.

Have a safe journey, CJ - i'll be awaiting your blog update :)

Thank you for the well-wishing, Kev but I think it's gonna be a long wait because when I'm home.. I don't get online much, if ever!
