Sometimes I wake up in the night because of weird noises.
At first I thought it came from upstairs, right above us. Maybe the neighbours doing the nasty, you know what I mean. It is what one naturally would assume even but it does NOT sound one bit like it. It could be snores.. I don't know. How do I describe the sound, something like..
1) WooOooo.. wooo-ooOo
2) CoOo-ooOOoO00
3) Or maybe oOoo-ooOoOo
Come onlahhh! I was drowsy and disturbed in the midst of my slumber! How to be 100% sure of it! Plus the rhythm is so irregular, I couldn't hear properly. On the 3rd or 4th time I heard it, I knew I had to check the time. I glanced at my handphone and it was 2.40am.
2.40am on a weekday, *ahem, ahem-ing* upstairs is rather insane right. Plus I remember seeing the tenant's an old lady. Old as in I doubt she is still up for those kind of activites kind of old. But then again, anything can happen in the world today LOL
I told Turkish about it once, or twice. I didn't want to think it was something "supernatural" or scare myself and him. I told him in the nicest way possible.
I said, "Our neighbour snores very loudly, huh".
Turkish replied, "Yeahhh, probably. The walls are thin".
Still.. at wee hours in the morning?
Who could be so inconsiderate.. I vowed that if I ever heard it again, sounds from "banging" each other or not.. I am going to bang the pipes for sure. Yeahhh, this is the Russian way of showing that the peace is compromised. The entire building shares one vertical pipe, and it runs through every floor from top to bottom.
But guess what ;)
Turkish told me this morning that the sounds.. the sounds.. are actually made by the pigeons outside our window! They sleep on our window aisles in the night!! WTF.
Those damn birds!!
Well.. I guess mystery solved.
So if the next time I hear it again.. at least I can go back to sleep.
