Tolga finally agreed to visit Miniaturk today! The first miniature park in Istanbul was opened in 2003 but my boyfriend was never really interested in it. Hahahahaa he gave in when I insisted for us to go there after seeing Julienne's picture at Madurodam. Oooohhhh.. I must say Miniaturk is a damn cool place to go to!
There are over 100 models created in 1:25 scale of iconic buildings and places located all over Turkey. The park is huge! 40,000sqm of open space lined with individual models of many cultures and civilization, even some of the famous ones which were lost/destroyed. On a closer look, the architectural works were delicately crafted to perfection. The elements resemble almost identical to the original design, ranging from 3000-year history from Antiquity to Byzantium, from Seljuks to the Ottoman Empire and into the latest modern day megastructures.

Tolga and I *giggles*
We got a rough idea of all the touristic must-see, especially on the Anatolia. I kinda went mad LOL Because of its richness in history, there are so much that were left behind by the ancient people and from the events which took place. Through time, I'm sure we'll try to visit these miniature models in its original size!
