Turkish Food Intro

Turkish, his Mum and I went shopping today.

Sales are over, almost every shop has the Spring-Summer style stocked. Hahahahahaa I forgot that security in Istanbul malls are alot tighter than Moscow (due to past bombing incidents.. let’s hope they won’t occur again LOL). In every entrance of the building, there are metal detectors with Special Safeguards parked right in front of them. Bags are either scanned or opened for inspection.

That tight.

Turkish walking into the metal detector

A bit scary-looking right LOL

I’ve been here almost a week, some days we eat out and some at home. Turkish's mum cooks amazing food, very healthy at that. She's health-conscious so everything we eat is like popping vitamins. I'm enjoying the taste and texture of the local cuisine. Other than the commonly known kebabs or doner.. they also have many kinds of delicious servings to go about.

We had lunch at the mall one shot. Here are some pictures we took in the restaurant :)

Hehehehee with Turkish's Mum

View of the commercial district of Istanbul

Lentil soup (Medjmek).. quite yummy with a coarse texture

Hahahahahaha see how Turkish is disturbed by the waiter next to him

Lahmacun is "Turkish pizza" (says like that on the menu LOL)

The white drink is my favourite! Healthy and nice
It's called Ayran (yogurt shake with a pinch of salt)

My favourite drink. Healthy too.
It's a taste some people have to learn to like, Via.

First few times it tasted funny to me, but now I love it! :)
