Simple Joys

Quote of the day : "I don't want patients *whining*. Please, not now. I can't take anymore. Give it to others. Fine, fine. Is there any with acne? Then I don't want *whining more* - Alisa

This morning, I witnessed a spoilt brat denying cases from Dr.Grabovskaya just like that. She was one of the few I complimented to be nice in the beginning. Everyday, in/out working in the same vicinity opened my eyes to real characters undercovered.

Alisa cursed outloud when a few of us got cases last week.

"Even she gets but not me". Freaking obvious "she" is referred to me.

Screw her. I hope her Nine West heels step on puke or her Armani workwear gets some.

Then I remember Joanna told me that a few Ordinatura in her department are also very bitchy. She isn't sure if her peers have inferiority or superiority complexes (I'd say the former). They turn a deaf ear if she asks them questions or help, pretend not to understand what she's trying to say etc.

From what I've heard from experienced workers, I do believe these people exist everywhere at any workplace. I guess if this happened back home, attitudes would have been different. I could always be in control. Ohhh well. Not like you can foresee it coming.

But at the end of the day, when patients "Spasiba" me, meaning Thank You in Russian.. it's all worth it. These annoying people don't mean shit to me. Especially on Mondays when patients show up for checkups. I see regression and improvement in their condition.. that's all that matters most, isn't it? :)
