Quote of the Day : "Shave your legs, canem. Is it really true that they even keep you warm?"- Turkish
I don't think I have express how I really feel about being back in Moscow. Many of you who know me would agree that I am a very joyful person, optimistic and up for new challenges in life. I have returned for nearly 3 weeks, away from Malaysia for more than a month. In the beginning, conversations went like this with many juniors/people I know:
Junior - Ehhhhh! *eyes wide open* WHAT are you doing here???
Me - I stayed back to do my PG *smiles*
Junior - Haaaarr.. errrr... WHY here??
Me - I like it here, that's why *chuckling*
Junior - Ohh.. *eyes wider to hear the possibility of liking Russia*
Some who are less shocked to see my face in town:
Junior - Hey! You didn't go back to Malaysia?
Me - I did, I did. I returned to be Ordinatura
Junior - Nice! Which department?
Me - Dermatology, the one we went to in 4th Year
Junior - Ehhhh.. goodlahh like that!
Now conversations have evolved, news have spreaded far and wide.
Junior - You ahhh, I heard! Derma, right?
Me - Uh huhhh
Junior - How many years? 2? 3?
Me - At least 2 years
Junior - What's your number? Free go makanlahhh!
I guess I will meet up with them whenever I have the spare time. We have yet to confirm with Kris and Hun Wei about dinner this weekend. Honestly, I do miss my batchmates but I don't feel it so bad because of the change in environment and occupation. I imagine it would be a torment to live alone in Yugo-Zapadnaya without Jason and Reena around. Turkish turned my life 180degrees. I am living close to the center, I have new colleagues and everything is just so different. Mun Yee asked me if I spend most of my time now with my boyfriend. I said yes. I meet him after 6pm everyday, indoor/outdoors and then we spend the rest of the evening together.
Reena and Jason were the magnificient couple who spent 24hours together, almost 365days a year together. Lived in the same house in Moscow, same study group, share mutual friends etc Before leaving for Malaysia, I asked Reena how am I gonna do it with Turkish (even when we only spend 3/4 of our time compared to them). She is truly the one who knows all and sees all.
I was very touched when I ran through the items Turkish received from her. Items that served us well in our previous household, presents and other nostalgic objects that bring back fond memories. The sight of the Rice Pot cooking got me all emotional yesterday. Yes, I have only made rice once so far LOL Turkish and I usually dine outside or I cook ang moh style, with potatoes, macaroni or garlic bread :P Plus I don't know how to cook Chinese food, I don't know what happened to the Oyster sauce, Dark sauce and Soya sauce. We only have plenty of herbs and spices.

And that's a model of the crane used in Turkish's project sites
